  • Call for Speakers Open for One Globe 2014: Uniting Knowledge Communities

    Salwan Media’s 3rd Annual Conference explores linkages between Innovation, Technology, Higher Education, Skills Development, K-12 and Urbanization in building a 21st century Knowledge Economy in India and South Asia

    New Delhi, October 24, 2013: Salwan Media’s One Globe Uniting Knowledge Communities is a premier conference focusing on global education in India and South Asia. A multidisciplinary dialogue is core to every forum One Globe convenes. This year, One Globe 2014 (#OG14) Conference will be held on February 7th and 8th, 2014 at the Imperial Hotel in New Delhi, India.

    The One Globe series fosters conversation between leaders from government, academia, investors, policy makers, entrepreneurs, universities and NGO’s. Weaving a holistic thread across the education spectrum to deliberate, debate, design and decide the future of education and the skills requirements for a growing South Asian population. According to India Knowledge @Wharton “Some 54% of India’s 1.2 billion people are under the age of 25. The National Skills Development Corporation (NSDC) is already grappling with the challenge of providing training and retraining to 500 million people by 2022” One Globe highlights and explores the manifold ways in which information, connectivity and urbanization has a transformative impact on building Knowledge based economies in India and South Asia.

    Those interested in participating as a speaker are requested to share their details on speaker@salwanmedia.com by January 6th, 2014. The speaker should clearly highlight their expertise in the areas of higher education, K-12, Skills Development, Technology, Innovation or Future Cities/Physical Infrastructure for creating knowledge cities/hubs. A brief biography of the speakers along with the soft copies of previous speaking engagements should also be included. Due to limited speaking slots for the conference, preference may be given to industry leaders, academia and policy makers. If your ‘Call for Speakers’ is not accepted, please consider sponsoring a break out session.
