Managing Director - South Asia for Adobe Systems

Umang Bedi is the Managing Director of the South Asia region for Adobe Systems. In this role, he is responsible for Adobe’s business operations - growing the sales and marketing functions, driving strategic partnerships and alliances, expanding the channel partner ecosystem and driving cloud services opportunities within the enterprise, government, education and SMB sector in the South Asia region.

Umang has a strong understanding of enterprises and their needs in an evolving creative and digital economy in the region. He helps drive adoption and growth of Adobe’s recently-launched Creative and Marketing Cloud offerings in the South Asian region. Under his leadership, the go-to-market teams provide solutions that help customers transform their digital businesses in this multiscreen and multichannel world by enabling them to make, manage, measure and monetize all their digital content.

Prior to Adobe, Umang worked for Intuit Inc. as the Managing Director – India & Emerging Markets where he was responsible for leading the Global Business Division's strategic expansion into emerging markets. Before Intuit, Umang was the Business Head of the Banking, Financial Services & IT vertical at Symantec India. In this role, he helped grow the business by over triple digits, year on year. Umang also held leadership roles at other organizations like Sun Microsystems and Wipro.

Umang is an engineering graduate from the University of Pune. He is a member of the Government of India's "National e-Governance Program” (NeGP) & serves on the working group for "Network and Information Security Standards for e-Governance in India". He is a Charter Member of TiE and a member of NASSCOM, Indo American Chamber of Commerce (IACC), IMA and Young Presidents Organization(YPO) in India. He is also on the Governing Board of the Direct Marketing Association of India (DMAi) and a member of Gerson Lehrman Group?s Technology, Media & Telecommunications Counciland a Resource Bureau Member of the National Entrepreneurship Network (NEN).

In addition, Umang serves on the board of the “Ability Unlimited Foundation”, a non-profit organization focused on the empowerment of persons with disabilities through art and Therapeutic Theatre. He is a regular featured speaker at important conferences and at IIT and IIM. Umang is based out of Bangalore, and while not at work he enjoys golf, photography, traveling and exploring new destinations with his wife and daughter.
