P.P. Chaudhary is a Member of Parliament representing Pali, Rajasthan, in the Lok Sabha. He currently serves as Union Minister of State in the ministries of Law & Justice and Corporate Affairs. Formerly, he was the Chairperson of the Joint Parliamentary Committee on Offices of Profit, and a member of the Committee on Subordinate Legislation and the Standing Committee on Personnel, Committee on Public Grievances, Law and Justice.

He has worked to promote education, especially for girls, in rural areas. With a view to facilitating higher education for rural students, especially girls, he was instrumental in developing hostel facilities for such students in urban areas. He is actively involved in conducting eye camps, rural development programs and sports competitions.

He has also actively worked for the welfare of Rajasthan’s farmers, and has promoted irrigation projects and organic farming. In September 2015, he provided insurance cover for more than 130,000 women in his Lok Sabha constituency, from his own income.

He was elected to the 16th Lok Sabha in May 2014, and inducted as a minister in Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s cabinet in July 2016.

He holdsB.Sc. and L.L.B. degrees from Jai Narayan Vyas University, Jodhpur, Rajasthan.
