Managing Director, Asia, Tina Brown Live Media/Women in the World

Preeti Dawra is the Managing Director, Asia for Tina Brown Live Media/Women in the World. In the past, as Founder and Managing Director of Insight Asia, she has represented a wide spectrum of high profile clients in the private and public sectors, including educational and cultural institutions, not-for-profit organizations, and public figures. 

Ms Dawra currently serves as the Senior Strategic Advisor to New York University’s Wagner School of Public Service, and National University of Singapore’s Institute of South Asian Studies. She is a board member of Princeton in Asia (Singapore), and serves as an advisory member of the Rockefeller Foundation Bellagio Center’s "Artist Residencies" from India. 

She also writes a weekly column titled the “Singapore Conversation” with leading opinion makers for Mint, one of India’s largest business dailies. 

From 2007 to 2012, Ms Dawra served as the Head of External Affairs at the Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy at the National University of Singapore, where she was responsible for the key portfolios of global marketing and branding, student recruitment, corporate communications, donor and alumni relations. 

Prior to joining the LKY School, Ms Dawra worked in United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) in New York as a management consultant in the Office of the Administrator, Lord Mark Malloch Brown. She assisted his team in strategizing and implementing the UNDP’s new corporate branding initiative in 166 country offices in partnership with McKinsey & Company. 

In NYC, Ms Dawra also worked as a business editor for a prestigious publication, The Earth Times, covering leading global UN conferences and writing on the intersection of business and sustainable development. She traveled to more than a dozen countries to report on conferences, and on environmental, economic and social issues. 

Ms Dawra holds a Master’s Degree in International Affairs from Columbia University in New York, with a specialization in International Media and Communication; she also holds a Master’s Degree in Business Administration from University of St. Thomas, Texas. Earlier, she received a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics from the University of Delhi.
